Make-A-Wish Fashion Show at Kleinfeld Bridal

Not only is a wish a heartwarming experience, but a tool that gives kids the stamina to face their illness and fight it. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with CONFIDENCE, JOY, and HOPE. 🙏🏼🦋💖

Kleinfeld and the Women’s Council of the New York Metro Make-a-Wish Foundation did something wonderful last week. Working together with a team of over 60 volunteers, we made an extra special event to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation—a huge benefit fashion show at Kleinfeld Bridal and Fashion Aficionado TM  hosted the event!

Before the night began, Kleinfeld was converted by our Visual & Creative Team into a starry-night themed space. Guests arrived at Kleinfeld for cocktails and light bites providing by Certé Catering as well as a chance to get their photo taken, sign up for raffles and a silent auction.

Meanwhile, things were already heating up backstage! Little did guests know, but our Make-a-Wish Fashion show not only included over 30 volunteer models, but 6 Wish Kids headlining the show—all outfitted in Kleinfeld bridal gowns and Kleinfeld Bridal Party dresses!

The fashion show consisted of 3 themes; “Dream Destination, Dreams Come True, and Holiday Wishes.” Make-a-wish alumni and models rocked the runway wearing extravagant couture evening and bridal gowns exclusively made by Kleinfield Bridal!

After the raffles and auctions closed, guests made their way to our main salon and found their seats as the show was about to begin. Kleinfeld Director of PR & Marketing, Jennette Kruszka, welcomed guests. Finally and just in time, for the start of the show, Nigel Barker took the stage.  Our models included 30 volunteers as well as 6 Wish Kids and Nigel Barker’s wife and daughter! Here were 6 Make-a-Wish themes including “Dream Destination”, Dreams Come True” and “Holiday Wishes”, models strutted the runway in Kleinfeld’s newest bridal and bridal party looks.

Nigel closed out our Fashion Show with a chance for guests to donate even more money and time towards granting wishes for special children around the company, and just like that, another $20,000 was raised!
