Breakfast Conversation with Bridget Foley & Wen Zhou

As the chief executive of 3.1 Phillip Lim, Wen Zhou is a creative visionary that leads with her love for fashion. In conjunction with Bridget Foley of WWD, Zhou discussed her humble beginnings to her aspirational journey through the fashion industry. From being a Chinese immigrant in NYC to working in the factory to making her dreams come true building her fashion empire...

Keynote: Wen Zhou: "If I would have to do it all over again, I would pick my few key partners, and do it very very well. I'd focus my energy to build my business with them... Instead of being everywhere and exhaust myself, my team, and expand too quickly. I would have a deeper more meaningful relationship with the people that I chose to grow with."

"The world is your oyster. We have a global voice, a global reach, and being DIFFERENT in New York City is special- Here, is the best place to do this. You are FREE to EXPRESS and articulate your BIGGEST ideas! “You guys are the lifeline of the industry,”

Having the ability to meet in a such a welcoming space was amazing. One of the biggest things I learned from the event is that though fashion continues to evolve with the rapid changes seen in society, we as a community of creatives must embrace the change and more importantly embrace one another's great talents and aspirations to be successful.
