Veronica Apsan is recognized for outstanding leadership, an explorer of ideas, and a contributor to society.
Veronica conducts research at Genspace Bio Lab in NYC. As a Genspace Scholar, she works alongside scientists to develop new sustainable fabrics. She is focused on clothing that can improve the human condition. Her latest collection showcased in Neiman Marcus representing "The Future of Fashion."
Veronica is an alumni of the Fashion Institute of Technology, having graduated with the highest honors.
Named in honor of Draftsman Second Class, Michael A. Noeth of the United States Navy and an Alumni of FIT ('94) who died in the line of duty on September 11, 2001 at the Pentagon. Noeth was known for his creative spirit and commitment to serving others in the community. This award Represents selfless commitment to the FIT Community, demonstrating outstanding leadership, service and creativity.
Veronica's fashions were chosen for the inclusion in Calvin Klein's Future of Fashion Runway Show at F.I.T. The judges include: Nicole Phelps, Director of Vogue Runway, Ken Downing, Fashion Director of Neiman Marcus, Kemal Harris, Emmy-nominated costume designer, Nikki Ogunnaike, Fashion Features Director of ELLE.com, and Emilia Petrarca fashion news writer of The Cut Magazine.
Veronica mentors youth and inspires them to exceed expectations in personal growth, leadership, business, and the arts. Her work has been in collaboration with Culture for One Foster Care Program, Make-A-Wish America, United Federation of Teachers, and Children of United Nation Foundation.
